The highest total score reveals your dominant eating personality type. If there's a tie among your highest score, then pick the one eating pattern that you most relate to.
Here are descriptions of eating personality types. Which best describes you?:
Meal Skipper
Meal Skippers have no structure or planning to their meal patterns. Their diet varies tremendously from one day to the next. Eating is an afterthought, occurring anytime or anywhere. When the day is done, Meal Skippers don't have a clue as to what or how much they ate. This cycle of unplanned eating gets repeated day after day.
Nighttime Nosher
Nighttime Noshers eat most of their food from dinner time and onward into the evening. Eating at night leaves them without a morning appetite; this sets them up to undereat during the day, approach dinner ravenous and the night eating cycle continues.
Convenience Consumer
The Convenient Eater goes for foods that are convenient, ordered from a menu or purchased ready to eat and microwaveable. If Convenient Eaters are caught eating at home, it's not because they cooked; instead, they depend on take-out or fast food for most of their daily meals.
Fruitless Feaster
The Fruitless Feaster doesn't eat enough fruits and/or vegetables. Main food choices are proteins, breads, pastas, desserts and, of course, fats. They know they should be eating more fruits and vegetables , but they never quite get around to it. They find it's far too easy to skip these good-for-you foods. And when given the choice, they rarely choose them.
Heavy Portioner
Heavy Portioners eat too much food, too fast and don't know when to stop . They often eat past their point of fullness and have no idea as to what constitutes a healthy portion . They are usually lifetime members of the “clean your plate club” and because of this, many suffer from indigestion and feeling sluggish after eating.
Steady Snacker
Steady Snackers mindlessly graze throughout the day , whether hungry or not. Just the sight or smell of food or even a food commercial can trigger their compulsion to eat. These snackers are unaware of the extra food they've tasted while preparing a meal, cleaning the kitchen, sitting at a meeting, attending a social event or watching television.
Swing Dieter
Swing Dieters eat "good" foods in public and "bad" foods in private and never feel satisfied. They have an internal battle going on between what they think they should be eating and what they truly desire. They swing from depriving themselves of favorite foods to overindulging in those same foods.
